Don't buy it and move on. IMHO it's always been more of an Adventure Tourer, not and Off Road Adventure motorcycle. Honda did cut corners on this bike to keep it at a price point but they didn't market it as something it's not. They didn't call it the XL750 Dakar Rally, it's the Transalp, like always.
The engine is very well “balanced” — producing a modest claimed 55 hp (though a dyno-tested ~40 hp at the wheel), it’s not a 100 hp screamer like the CBR600F, nor underpowered for fast American highways like a 250cc Ninja. Front view of the Honda Hawk GT. See that design — hasn’t aged a day.
Patent drawings show the profile of the new Honda Transalp 750. Honda. The shared engine means we know the Transalp should match the Hornet’s power output of 90.5 hp at 9,500 rpm and 55.3 lb.-ft

Yup, a 650 ‘Strom with an off-road ready 21/18 spoked wheelset, improved suspension, aggressive damage protection and absolute kick-ass, black-on-black good looks. But this isn’t just some custom built for envy. This is a package Loaec’s company, Trail Découverte Concept, intends to sell as a DIY kit. Called the Dark EVO 2, this isn’t
p8HR. Off-road fanatics rejoice: the new Transalp now rolls on 21F/18R spoked wheels, with 210 mm of ground clearance. Sadly, there’s no mention of those wheels being tubeless in Honda’s press release. Braking is courtesy of what appears to be standard-issue Nissin callipers, with dual 310 mm discs up front, and a single 256 mm disc out back.
Initially, the 2024 Transalp looks vulnerable when thinking about taking it off-road. The low-hanging exhaust and other bits dangling from its relatively low-slung chassis, with a seat height of just 33.7 inches, give the impression that this bike is road-going only. Thankfully, Honda has an entire menu of accessory packages to suit every rider
Honda’s new 755 cc parallel twin powers the 2023 XL750 Transalp — a 459-pound adventure bike with a claimed 90 horsepower on tap. Although pricing and availability have not been announced for the United States, there’s little doubt that Honda will bring this model stateside. The Honda Transalp was first introduced in 1986.
